Mahlon F. Craft
Mahlon is a fine arts photographer, graphic designer, and fine arts print maker. With wife, artist Kinuko Y. Craft, he manages Craft Partners/Kinuko Y. Craft Arts and Windy Hill Editions, an in-house fine arts press, devoted to publishing limited editions of Kinuko’s art. Between 1967 and 1973 he worked as an art director at various companies including lastly, Albert Nader Advertising, Chicago. In 2005 he was certified as a master giclée printer by Giclee Printers Europe.
In his work as a fine arts photographer. Mahlon attempts to convey the sublime and intangible. His interests span a wide gamut from nature to urban settings, occasionally stepping into déjà vu and dry humor. His subjects range from provocative slice of life images to multi-layered florals. Mahlon’s work is output digitally on large format fine art printers.
Mahlon has exhibited at Chicago Public Library Cultural Arts Center;
Illinois State Museum; The Noroflk Library, Norfolk, CT; The Art Academy of Cincinnati; and Battell Stoeckel Gallery, Norfolk, CT.
