Jennifer is the former owner of the Almquist Gallery in New Preston, studied photography at New York University and filmmaking at the Sundance Film Institute.
Jennifer was on the Organizing Committee for the 1995 Special Olympics World Games in New Haven where she photographed President and Mrs. Clinton, was Arts Administrator at the Hotchkiss School, and recently was the official documentarian of the Plow to Plate Coalition. An environmental activist, she was executive director of the Silent Oceans Project, and is a Board member of Cetacean Society International.
Her photography of Pete Seeger, for the album Pete, earned her a Grammy Award in 1996. She recently showed her images of soup kitchens and food pantries: Hunger in Litchfield County at UConn. Her images are currently on permanent display in the Café and in the Regional Cancer Center of New Milford Hospital, and the Community Foundation of Northwest CT.
