NORFOLK THROUGH A LENS: Visions of a Quintessential New England Town is a large-format book featuring the work of a group of fine arts photographers based in Norfolk, CT.
With its scenic landscape, historic buildings, and intriguing hideaways, Norfolk has captured and continues to capture the imaginations of many fine arts photographers over the years. We are a group of those photographers who have assembled to create this large-format, coffee-table book evoking our special visions of Norfolk.
The book showcases more than 100 full-color photographs ranging from intriguing pictorial images to imaginative abstracts to photographic tours de force. It is a beautifully bound and full of evocative images to be pondered and cherished.
It is our hope that the book will become part of the longstanding Norfolk tradition of recording the past and present for the sake of the future. Joining the ranks of over a dozen volumes of written and visual histories (and several thousand glass plate negatives and postcards) Norfolk Through the Lens will be the first volume of visual art to be compiled in nearly 100 years. The book is more than just a record of people, place, and detail in the town, it is the visual manifestation, soul, and personality of some of the artists and creatives who call this place home.
